It’s not easy out there. But the rules are simple. Our mind has one goal only and it is our survival. This is why it will fight to protect the status quo. Anything that is out of the ordinary is a potential threat and so it will try to pull you back and keep you where you’re now. The problem with it is that it keeps you away from new opportunities, learning and growing – all the essential parts of becoming rich.
That’s why we’re constantly bombarded with internet ads like, “THIS MAN LOST 50 LBS IN AN HOUR. FITNESS EXPERTS HATE HIM!!!”

The right mindset for business is one that involves hard work with commitment to having fun & smiling often. Hard work does not mean it has to be arduous. You have to be committed, you have to give it 150% almost all the time, but you also need to have a great attitude. A positive, can-do spirit can turn hard work into success. Success is a mindset. If you believe in yourself and you enjoy your business endeavors, your employees, family & friends will also. You will be successful.
Visualize yourself negotiating on a house. What do you say to get your clients the best price?
But remember, it’s not like you’re suddenly going to win the lottery; they’re two different things. The best advice that I got was to start thinking like a CEO and delegate early. Run your business; don't work for your business. If you build a business from scratch, it's easy to nitpick on the little details and do everything yourself. And that just adds a lot of unnecessary stress. You can avoid that by hiring qualified people early on to lighten your load. The less you have to worry about the little things, the more you can focus on the bigger picture.
DOWNLOAD The 5 Steps to Profits PDF 7. Stop over-planning, just do Another simple way to learn how to get what you want is to learn from people who already have. Read some biographies, such as the people I mentioned above. Find a good mentor who will be honest with you about your strengths and weaknesses. See if someone will let you shadow them, as you may learn important skills from pure observation. Many times in my therapeutic work, when people tell me they are struggling, or that they want certain things for themselves, I ask them to think of people they admire who possess the qualities they need. They are always able to list off what these individuals have, and then I ask them what is holding them back from doing and being those things. They already have the formula, but they do not yet believe in their ability to use it. Now they just need to believe in their own abilities.
American diplomacy is under siege. Offices across the State Department sit empty while abroad, the military-industrial complex has assumed the work once undertaken by peacemakers. We're becoming a nation that shoots first and asks questions later. In an astonishing account ranging from Washington, DC, to Afghanistan, Pakistan, and North Korea in the years since 9/11, acclaimed journalist and former diplomat Ronan Farrow illuminates one of the most consequential and poorly understood changes in American history.

Figure out what your specific aspirations, values and beliefs are. I find that reading the classics (Aristotle, Marcus Aurelius, Sun Tzu, Viktor Frankl, Jean-Paul Sartre, Alan Watts, etc.) help me figure out what I stand for and feels right to me. I incorporate some of the “big picture” thinking into a workable life philosophy that influences my values, habits and lifestyle.

I think Dr. Dweck should be careful with words like "Fourth, we value process here, and we reward process." This sounds a lot like fixed mindset thinking, and could easily be mistaken for fixed mindset thinking by a fixed mindset person. We don't value process per se. Rather, we value the exploration and accomplishments that leads to a new process. No "process" is sacred, only growth is sacred. A growth mindset doesn't start out looking for "the rules", although they definitely observe the rules when they're there for a good reason. A fixed mindset obsesses over "the rules", because these are extrinsic ways to value work done (they're "the straight A's"). A growth mindset obsesses over the work itself, and the rules (at least the right ones) help make the work easier to do. The work is secondary to the "process."

Thoughts influence feelings and feelings determine how you view your work. WhatsApp CAROL DWECK: What did a team or a person learn from an effort even when it wasn't successful? Many successful people-- Einstein, Thomas Edison-- have said they have learned more often from their failures than from their successes. So many huge breakthroughs came after a number of huge failures that provided learning experiences. You are not going to reward someone just because they failed, obviously not. But what did the journey teach them that will help them and others in the company become successful the next time?

This deceptive and disingenuous nonsense is rampant in the marketing materials aimed at gullible and desperate consumers. Indeed, the quote above comes from the website “Psychology for Marketers,” which should scare us into the horrifying but inevitable realization that behavioral finance has been weaponized. “Nudge” no more; it is now full-on psychological warfare.
