You must constantly be willing to become a small fish in a big pond again. We also tend to do things like procrastinate, over-socialize, and binge-watch television when we don’t manage our time. Those time-wasters take precious moments away from our bigger, longer term goals. In turn, we become unhappier when the things that we really want in life aren’t fulfilled, and even begin to wallow in misery when we take several steps back rather than moving forward and advancing towards our goals. Many scientific studies show that no matter what goal you plan to reach as result, the action is the best means of achieving this goal. History I read recently that the most important times of the day are the first half-hour after you awake and the half-hour before you turn in at night. We all have our ritual for both segments. But when I read that I realized my routine was in sync with that concept. Up at 5:15 , in the gym at 6. At night the routine is to listen, read or watch something positive, uplifting or motivational. When I miss out on one I can sense the imbalance, especially the gym routine.
