the right mindset for success

how to be successful

Good job! You’re really smart!! Many people hold limiting beliefs. If people truly looked at their values and belief systems, and then compared them to what in them was holding them back, they could make adjustments. When a person realizes that they have been walking around with a belief since they were young, simply because that is what they were told, they can now challenge it. It is even more powerful when they realize that this belief is holding them back from achieving their goals and getting what they want. If they are able to transform their belief to support their goals, great things are possible for them. If someone believes that they are only supposed to achieve a certain level of success to be respectful to others before them, they will stay at that level. If they are able to change that belief to respecting those who have taken care of them and sacrificed for them by achieving the greatest success they are capable of, they will go much further. Does that make sense, can you see the difference in those belief systems, and why the one is limiting? “When you connect to the silence within you, that is when you can make sense of the disturbance going on around you.” Conclusion: Before you become a millionaire, you’ve got to learn how to think like one. One of the most surprising findings of Thomas Stanley and William Danko, authors of the bestselling book Millionaire Next Door, is that our mental image of a millionaire (looking something like the monocle- and top hat-wearing millionaire on the Monopoly board) is completely wrong. Why we think it’s a great listen: Some books are meant to be read; others are meant to be heard – Water for Elephants falls into the second group, and is one of the best examples we have of how a powerful performance enhances a great story. Then, identifying the causes. From there, you can work on changing that specific belief. What does it cost Helen to think in this way? The cost is never moving an inch in her marketing, not attracting clients, and staying indefinitely stuck. Visualize a picture of yourself living with the end result of your desire, be it reaching a very specific desired weight and doing things that you will be doing once this goal is achieved, or just visualize yourself radiating with the health you want to achieve, doing a task you would love to do, or getting into the clothes you would love to see yourself wear. As you visualize this happening, announce repeatedly to your subconscious mind the goal that you are planning to reach. “Time will be harvested and stored by saying NO lots, clearing events from your diary that have no meaning, and doing less in the pursuit of pleasure and more in the pursuit of success” Flip to back Flip to front If you’re broke, overweight, unhappy, or stuck, act as if you’re not. Because our ego is our narrator of the world. As part of our shared human condition, it’s our filter through which we see the world, but it is a horrible source of information. It corrupts the data that enters our perception and loves to paint us as a victim. Sometimes our frugal intentions end up sabotaging us: You buy cheapie $50 shoes instead of a good-quality $200 pair that will last longer. Or you make repeated repairs to your gas-guzzling, circa 1992 Volvo station wagon rather than spring for a new model. Sometimes you set these arbitrary deadlines for yourself, but it could happen quicker than you think. It only took me another five years to achieve that goal, and it was a pretty cool milestone. This is something that’s still top of mind for me and it can be for you as well. wikiHow's mission is to help people learn, and we really hope this article helped you.
